Location: Based out of Langford. Providing Mobile service to all of Southern Vancouver Island.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Marine Technician to join our dynamic team to provide mobile services on marine gas engines. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of marine systems and engines, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. As a Mobile Marine Technician, you will travel to various locations to perform maintenance and repair tasks on a wide range of vessels, ensuring they are seaworthy and safe for our clients. You will be provided with a company service vehicle and marine specific tools. You will work independently and with other Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, plumbing, and other onboard equipment.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on-site, providing efficient and effective solutions.

  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all vessel systems are operating safely and in compliance with regulations.

  • Provide emergency repair services as needed, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.

  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and labor hours.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of issues and the work performed.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in marine technology and repair techniques.

  • Maintain a well-organized and equipped service vehicle, ensuring all necessary tools and parts are readily available.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations during service operations.

  • Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional customer service and support.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Certification in Automotive or Marine preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Marine Technician.

  • Strong knowledge of marine gas engines, electrical systems, plumbing, and other vessel components.

  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Relevant certifications or trade qualifications in marine technology or a related field (preferred).

  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
